Julie Hale Horticulture is an example of a small business website plus Blog that caters to residential customers needing some expert coaching to help solve their garden challenges. Why a horticulture website? This is my past profession from years ago, and I still enjoy posting articles about specific horticultural topics. Soon the site will point to this one, but for now, I wanted you to see the outcome of my collaboration with a contracted designer.
The team
I worked with Barb Rowan Design to develop the site in 2011. She helped develop a brand identity and tone for the content, then I contributed Blog content over time.
The scope
I became familiar with the WordPress Dashboard, uploaded text and images, and was self-sufficient with my workflow. The Blog subject matter of plant information and selection is a good example of technical writing, as well as the Resources page.
